Dedicated EVSE; The electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) is permanently connected to the AC supply network (250V 1-phase or 480V 3-phase) and incorporates control and safety functions.
The connection of Mode 3 Charging: Case B and Case C are shown below.
CASE C (Charging station with EV Connector Outlet)
The charging cable is fixed on the EVSE permanently. Not need extra charging cable from driver. Mode 3 Case C is for AC charging and Mode 4 Case C is for supplying DC through the cable to the EV.
CASE B (Charging station with socket Outlet)
Electric Vehicles (EV) are connected to the EVSE via a charging cable which fitted with two connectors, one of which plugs into the EV inlet socket, and the another of which plugs into the EVSE outlet socket.
This mode is belong to AC charging. The EVSE charging the electric vehicles (EV) through the on-board charger which inside the EV.
Driver need to use own ev charging cable (Type 2 to Type 2 / Type 1 ) to charge on a Case B connection EVSE.
